The sociological significance of social structure is that it guides our behavior. The social structure tends to over ride personal feelings and desires. Large numbers of people who have similar amounts of income and eduation and who work at jobs that are roughly comparable in prestige.

To use the sociological imagination is to shift your perspective away from yourself and look at things more broadly, bringing in context to individual actions.

Specifically, a social force is a consensus on the part of a sufficient number of the members of society to bring about social action or social change of some sort. In the plural, the social forces are the typical basic drives, or motives, which lead to the fundamental types of association and group relationship.

As I see it, there are seven primary forces that shape society in any city, nation, and country.
